This was my toy until I got my Legnum last month. Being a 2 door and having 2 girls (5 & 3 yrs) my toy had to make way for a more family oriented car, thus the Legnum!

Thoughts so far on forum: Nice bunch, mature responses/posts,
Still very young on the mods...no one has gone all out or cracked the engine open yet (ie not many ppl have gone beyond the basic bolt ons, eg comp, boost, exhaust, etc)...
The limits of the block and internals hasn't been fully understood..

welcome keith, sounds like a nice wagon.

any pics of the sil or the petrol eater?

yeah, mods are still in their infancy (well compared to that of the R and S chassis nissan and supras etc), however, a few guys and hav done rebuilds and a few guys hav done turbo conversions and a few guys have played around with the heads...just no one who has done it all (beside zentac in the uk) but there is a lot of knowledge here.

enjoy your stay and post up a members ride thread when you can. sounds like you are planning to all out on the legnum

Maybe it's time for you to step up Keith and turn your Legnum into a monster! Also welcome, sounds like you'll have some some good car brains to contribute to the forums.

LOL I've done that with the S15 , it wasn't a good idea... Start doing mods on the car based on sketchy knowledge!
Back in 2001 not many ppl knew what they were in abt, it was mainly from magazine articles of Jap cars or heresay from others... I ended having 2 full exhaust systems, 2 Turbo upgrades (first upgrade was a HKS GT2540), 2 injector sets (550cc Nismo and 740cc Nismo, not 850cc as previously stated)
2 Intercooler kits, 2 bodykits (C-west kit with big T wing),3 coilovers (TEIN NA, Buddyclub Racing Spec)
Also back then there weren't many (if any for some parts) generic brands, hence the reason that most if no all of the parts was sourced from Japan, which ended up costing a fair bit! These days u could do the same for less than half the price I paid! I got $38k for the car in 2005 spent $90k on it so roughly $135k!
Which leaves us in the same situation, there's not many support for our cars, so if we were to do mods it'll have to be parts from Japan... Bolt ons seem to be ok but engine wise, it'll have to Japanese parts.
So after learning my lesson I doubt that I'm going beyond bolt ons and ecu, cause even upgrading the turbos seems to be a big pain!
As for pics, there's some on my desktop comp of the S15, thing is I didn't get a proper pic of the car with the new bodykit! I sold the car with the new kit bolted on but not painted yet (I deducted the cost of paint from the sale price)
Same goes with the FC3S.. Unpainted but fitted full GP SPORTS kit! But I'll put them up anyways (when I have a chance to get o. The desktop)..

The FC was bought for $5000 for QLD it had a blown motor and box, so I towed it back down to Syd, I bought it cause it was very clean on the outside (stock original Australian delivered) and it had TEIN HR coilovers on it already.
Anyways, after spending $10k+ on it I ended up selling for $4000!
Also with the S15 I had owned it for 4yrs, but it was in the workshop for 20 months!
Hence the reason why I would never go all out again!
Sure I enjoyed sourcing parts & having the car built from scratch to the way I wanted it but in the end there was just too much time & money invested!
I actually thought of doing manual conversion on the Legnum but dunno if it's worth it in the end...

Welcome, Keith.

Like you, I also came from an S15. Very different experience having all this grip in the VR-4!

It sounds like you like spending lots of money modding cars and then selling the car for a fraction of what it owes you. If that's the case, you'll love the VR-4s ;)

Hi Keith, how do you rate the Fujitsubo catback in terms of performance and sound? I would be keen to have one shipped out but would like to know what the sound quality is like, whether it is loud or deep, and how much resonation do you get in the cabin? I prefer a loud growl over a deep drone :) Would recomend it in terms of a power upgrade?
