hey guys, sorry to post here again but i cant figure out what forum section i can and can't post in yet.
I need some help, we are due to pick up our legnum from the dealership on thursday, in the origional deal they were to swap the wheels with a galant they had on display for us, although they called me today claiming they are a different offset to a legnum. am i wrong or should they be identicle ?
my theory is they wont swap them because the galant has brembo's and the current wheels from our car wont fit it. they will however swap wheels with another legnum on the lot which has bbs wheels, in which i dont like, so we are a little disapointed.
what can i sell the bbs for to buy replacement wheels ?
also will stagea/skyline/evo wheels fit ours with rim width and offsets ?

any advice or help is deeply appreciated, thankyou

They're lying to you. Both cars have the same standard offsets and both cars will fit the same offset wheels. If one has brembos then you're right, chances are the wheels from the Legnum won't fit over them which is why they're trying to dupe you into not taking those ones.

If the deal was to get the wheels you wanted off the Galant, then you should get the wheels you wanted off the Galant. Sale value on BBS wheels will depend a lot on what type and what size.

Evo stock wheels will fit well with no modification, Skyline wheels will need to have their centre bore size modified to fit on a Legnum.

(EDIT - forgot to mention that I'm pretty sure stock S1 wheels are in fact different to stock S2 wheels, but both will fit on either model)

sorry i might be daft but i cant decypher the pfl and fl ?

PFL is the pre-face lift model and FL is the face lift one. Slightly different shape

PFL = Pre-facelift = series 1
FL = facelift = series 2

You won't get much for that set of wheels either.

bummer, we only want something nice looking, and rota have some nice wheels for around the 1k mark

"If the deal was to get the wheels you wanted off the Galant, then you should get the wheels you wanted off the Galant." X2

The deal was to include those wheels, if they want to give you other wheels which you don't want then you have every right to expect to pay less for the car.

If I was in your position id almost take whatever wheels they give you as youd be able to pick up a nicer set of wheels for relatively little and have the exact look you want. Just my 2 cents

yeah we are looking at a nice set of rota's that will cost us around 1k, i also believe they should honour their agreement, otherwise give us a discount, perhaps sway for the bbs's, which we might be able to sell for 5-600 and give us a few hundred off so we can buy the wheels we are looking at .

I'd go for $$ off and stock wheels as the BBS are not worth much more than stock wheels and they are not worth much to begin with

the wheels that are already on it arent stock, but arent our style either, the reason i would like to maybe get the bbs's and sell them is because they have a nice set of potenza tyres which we would keep for the new wheels, i really am lost as to what to do atm.... these are the wheels on our car now... oh and this is our car btw, except it now has the stock nardi air bag steering wheel and gear stick on it http://www.japaneseautocentre.com.au/el/zoom.php?id=2058

just take the car as is, but take a grand off. problem solved

Lol.

I'm with Paulie

Having a look at the car, it looks like the k's may be close to legit. Very good condition.

Looks like it has some mods too. Ifyou can get a grand off, not a bad price with that nice combo of manual, low k's, one of the best colours ever. Also notice the rarest and coolest centre console.

Don't worry about the wheels. They are very light and do the job. And if they are good enough for Paulie to drive on in his galant for 12 minutes then they are good enough for the average punter.

Search for that dealer on this site and you will find that most people who have dealt with them don't have much nice to say about them..... They have shady business practices at the best of times.

Thanks zilla,
Yeah we are happy with black although we origionally wanted white. Those wheels will most likely do till we can afford to get better, we ended up getting it for 11,990 with 2 years warranty, apparently the wheels swapped, and they fitted a new clutch that I supplied as I'm a spare parts interpreter. So we are pretty happy with the deal in the end.

Just to be sure about the clutch... Check the inspection plate in the gearbox....

Just watch the warranty, Meek had to fix the warranty work done on my car. Ended up costing me more. I've got 3 years of it left and they wont ever see my car again. On a positive, Meek were awesome
