Hello,
in the process of changing out my galants suspension.
Bit late to be asking this but I have heard from several people Legnum standard suspension will fit to a galant. Directly interchangeable apparently.

Can anyone confirm this?
Especially wth regards to the rear?
Strange that wagon rear suspension would be the same as a saloon. And considering the Legnum suspension is about 100mm too long

I don't know about the dimensions, but the spring rates are different between Galant and Legnum. I don't know that anyone has actually done a swap and documented it here before.

The legnum rear shock cartridge has a model number of:
MR272702

Anyone with a galant know the stock suspension model number for the rears?? This is stamped towards the bottom eyelet

The Ralliart shocks I had in my Legnum came out of a Galant and I had some sweet rear rake, so I'm guessing if you do the reverse you'll probably have a squat rear end.

Thanks @Jakevr4
Would the cartridges differ from PFL to FL?
A Mitsubishi parts website mention a set for 1996 - 1999 and another part number for 1999-2002

Here lies the problem.
I was under the impression these should just slid in?
Do I have to get a bar and push the whole assembly down to fit the shocker?
At the moment the pin is about 100mm too high

Done.
Certainly a hard push to get them on.
Old rubbish coilovers gone! standard shocks and springs back on, along with restoring 'tractor' ride height. This will take some time to get used to.
oh and now I have a squeak, always something it seems.
