I thought I recognised the style, (thinking hang on, who else would describe a car exploding out of corners as if it were fuelled with Semtex but Jeremy Clar... *tap tap tap*) so I Googled the title.
"Born to be Riled" - Jeremy Clarkson (of Top Gear and other fame, for the uninitiated).
Ah yes, he has a thing for actress Kirstin Scott Thomas using her as an analogy on p416 (had her on the show once, and he was ga-ga). Actually, I've always wondered how this car would appear in Top Gear (and pardon my ignorance if it has!) and what take the three gentleman would approach our beloved 8G's with.
"And the VR4 is even better since it's had collagen lip implants. My five door estate test car had a huge spoiler on the back, a deep front air dam at the front, fat wheels and very sexy tyres... Basically you look at this car and know it's Japanese."

The fact he says Australians are un-inventive is absolute dribble. Australians are extremely inventive and MANY MANY of the worlds inventions come from Australians.

I understand what you mean Paul, but I guess you'd have to read a lot of Clarkeson articles to understand him - he goes out of his way to say politically incorrect, idiotic things. For example, this is the man that commonly refers to engine power as a certain number of 'torques'. He speaks and writes as if he's an A-grade cretin deliberately. Its his own personal brand of irony - what he's truely saying is 'if you understand anything about the subject, you'll know that right now I'm talking out of my ass. This is here to deliberately annoy and mislead the stupid and uneducated'. And frankly I love it!

Brits tend to think, having invented the telephone, jet engines, et cetera et cetera that we Australians have only ever come up with the idea for a 'Hills Hoist' - which is rubbish.
In saying that, Clarkson can actually do no wrong.. so it doesn't matter what lies he ever spills.
I'm glad he knows about/and in fact really likes VR4's.. makes me all warm and fuzzy.
