Hello all... i'm a new member here... currently im driving a Magna (AMC FTW!!! lol) anyway im crazing some more power and looks and the VR4 has caught my eye (that and i cant afford an Evo) so this is the next best thing i'm told...

Now i've found a VR4 on carsales:
linky

Has u can see its only got 39,000km on it and im wondering why it would be going for so cheap??? anyone care to give me some pointers on what to look out for when i go have a look at it or/and somewhere i can take it that in Melbourne that will give it a good looking over for me that know what they are doing???

Thanks... hopefully this is the start of a beautiful freindship....

p.s: anyone wanna buy my magna??? lol

Hi mario welcome to the forum. Thats a nice looking vr4 and very very cheap.
I couldnt tell you why it so cheap but you should get your machanic to check for any stickers in the engine bay that may have km on them (mainly the timing belt)to see if the odometer has been wound back. Good luck with the magna too:)

yup what kristan sad, i remember when i brought my car of kristan, the next week it was back on carsales at half the price...dodgy dealings.

Listed as a manual but is a Auto.
Auto's are always cheaper to buy.

it is auto sounds like a great deal but as the others have said get it checked because it does sound too good to be true

Yeah and make sure those service log books are original... which means each service entry should be in different hand writing or a different pen colour.:)

Seriously, insanely cheap... SOME cars can get on the road for that kind of money if directly imported, but why in the world would you resell one for that much?? A dealer would charge DOUBLE that for exactly the same car...

And love the 'Misty Violet' LOL :banghead:

Yeah mate, it is possible to import and get one on the road for that much, but there are so many variables and hidden costs that inevitably come up, not to mention the time it takes.... at least here, you get a chance to test drive and possibly check out the mechanical sides of things for yourself.

Good luck, hope it works out well.

yeah i got the same feeling that u guys are saying... to good to be true...

any suggestions of where i could take the car to checked out... i service my magna at a local mechanic who is a bit dodgy, but not dodgy enough that he has stuffed me around if u get what i mean...
