Hi All,

Just new to the site, currently own a Ralliart Colt and need a larger car so thinking about the Legnum. Was on the RColt forum and one of the guys who used to own a Legnum told me about this forum. Having a look on Carsales and there's not that many currently FS in NSW that are in the condition I want. Will definitely check out the marketplace here though. Any help or info would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Tim

Hi Tim, welcome to ozvr4! You'll find plenty of info and good folks around here.

Hopefully paulie will be along soon to post his helpful list of links. In the meantime, please note that sale threads need to be put in the For Sale section of the forum, and you need to be a member to post there (cheap cheap only five dollah, best value EVAR, you will gain access to a wealth of information about maintaining and modding your future Legnum).

I imported a car in the new year through Ben at J-spec (http://www.j-spec.com.au/) and got a great car I'm happy with. Just takes 2-3 months from purchase to your driveway that's all.

Went to Edward Lees today in Burwood and had a chat with them about importing one in, sounds like it may be the way to go.

J-Spec or Iron Chef are both reputable and trustworthy. I personally went through Ben at J-Spec. Car has been good for 3 years now.

Hi Tim welcome, I got mine from edward lee but mine was in stock, was looking at a V35 Skyline coupe at the time but came home with a Galant could not have been more happier [the skyline was nice just the price wasn't], anyway good luck with your search.

Welcome to the site mate. If your in NSW may i also suggest japlink which is a bit further up the road from edward lee's towards the city, i wouldnt trust edward lee's myself very over priced and google them you will be suprised, if you tell the guys exactly what you want at Japlink they will find you what you want. Most of the legnums on parra rd are actually complied at japlink. If you want to see a good example of what they can find i can show you mine if you like.

Yes, Japlink is the sales arm of their compliance business called Compliance R Us. This is where Ben at J-Spec referred me to for compliancing and they were awesome - I had none of the stringent dramas others seemed to have had in compliancing their cars.

From experience I would be very careful with All Imports and their associated yards (they operate under a few different names bit the cars and staff are all the same) They make Edward Lee's look like iron chef.

There's no need to do thAt just use iron chef or js pec as they have great rep

ive done some reading up tonight on importers & edward lee isnt getting good comments on many forums - google it yourself ;)

i WAS going to buy a car through them till i read many customer "experiences"

RUN AWAY!!!!!! Extreme has a good rep on Evo Oz http://xtrememotorsports.com.au/vehicles/

yeah thanks - i decided agains EL after i did some research yesterday...shame really because they have a car i want with the bits i wanted on it :(
price was a bit much but i was going to "negotiate" ;)
problem is with all ive read about them i couldnt trust the car was in the condition they say it is without organizing my own full mechanical inspection...

My friend who got me onto evo oz forum also suggested prestige motorsport. ive spoken to geoff & am getting daily emails - nothing too exciting yet :(

Ill check out the guys you've mentioned :)
