hey guys, had my transfer case leak out and shredded itself. looking for ideas on build routes since i might as well upgrade while rebuilding.

car is 290kw, ideally id like to overbuild if i ever went forged.

only thing im really set on is an Mfactory front LSD. i hear some people going for the metal plate but also saying helicoil is better for the more cruisy driving. i will be planning on doing track days and laying into the driveline a little so input on that would be appreciated.

gearbox i feel strengthening 3rd and 4th is a given, not really sure what else to do. heard the Evo 5th gearset is good, but havnt met someone personally with it on how it goes.

TIA!

I know Jason R and Ezra W both have had gearboxes built by Neat - could be worth contacting them. I believe TME also use Neat but I can't confirm.
Both have built motors, single turbo, pushing above 300kw. Jason likely to hit 400kW + next round of tuning I reckon!

Both also have center diffs, I think Ezra went for the MFactory and Jason for the Cusco, again, can't confirm.

Could be worth asking on OzVR4/Legnum Bros on FB as neither of them are active here (which is a shame).

If you are planning on doing circuit driving, I would recommend a baffled sump and sorting out oiling. I have torn down a few motors now and both did a few sessions at Winton which has a big LH sweeper. Both motors show oil starvation issues despite never having low oil etc, at least in my ownership. Oil also tends to get quite hot so a cooler with thermostat would be recommended.

Another thing worth mentioning is to get some seat time in a slower car, with 290kW you don't want to be testing braking zone limits and grip limits, especially after spending so much money. Better learn fundamentals in a slower car, preferably FWD as the transition to AWD will be easier.

are there any bolt on options for a baffled sump? or custom like everything on these cars haha
