Hi all,

I don't have a Leggie yet, but it's going to happen in the next few months.

About me, well i've lived in Oz for the last 21 years and I have had an interest in motorsport since I got my first Matchbox car as a toddler.

I grew up in Ireland during the golden years of Rally and have seen many of the finest machines to have graced this earth driven in anger. I still dearly miss Group B, but life goes on.

My car history is an eclectic mix. I started with a $360 HQ Kingswood Wagon and have owned two Suzuki Sierras a Rav 4 (the SWB first series model is actually very good off road and can get places a HiLux can't go. I've had a Holden Combo van (which I probably had more fun in than any other car and a Mazda 929 V6 (I needed a comfy long distance cruiser at the time).

I've recently had some performance Cars, the first being a Porsche 924 Turbo, which is rare, cheap and phenominally quick (faster than a 2005 Boxster S from 80 to 200, trust me on that). I regretfully chopped that in for an MX5, which I ran on Semi Slicks and had the best cornering of any car i've owned.

When Child 1 was due, we traded the Mazzie for something with more seats, 7 to be exact. Yes I own a Series 1 Land Rover Disco powered by a chipped V8.

I also have a totally standard bottom of the range 2008 Civic which I lease through work and believe it or not, this is the first and only car I've owned and driven in anger on a Race Track. It actually corners pretty well, despite the comedy suspension which makes it pitch like a catamaran. It was lapping as quick at Wakefield Park as some more exotic machinery totally standard, albeit wearing Potenza Adrenalins on each corner.

Now children 2 & 3 are due to be born sometime between now and next Wednesday, and the Civic ain't gonna take all three, so it's not going to be developed for the track.

I need a car that I can fit 3 child seats in (have slimline seats so no bother), will fit my WaveSki inside, will be fun to drive on the Old Pacific Highway and will be as much at home on the racetrack as on the road. I've researched exhaustively and a Legnum is the best all rounder for me, beating the Stagea because it's much lighter. Also I saw Lee's video on YouTube racing a 200sx/Silvia at Qld Raceway (nice one bruvva!!!) which sealed the deal.

The plan now is to wait for my bonus from work, sell the Civic and pay out the lease, buy a Leggie and see you guys at a Racetrack somewhere soon.

Cheers

Macka
