You probably don't get a lot of folks from the USA. I joined to check out the cars. I'm looking into getting an out of country car and have been looking at a few different vehicles. They have the law here where if its not able to run meaning no powertrain whatsoever they can be brought here and assembled as a kit car. I'm looking at VR-4s, FTOs, and possibly an actual EVO 3. I drive a Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T and as of now shes returned to stock. Blew the motor and am going to rebuild. I've been to Perth where my submarine pulled in back in 2004. I'm just curious to learn more and am wondering what the differce between a VR-4 and a VR-6 are I've seen galants labeled as both for the 8th gens. So I guess I'm just curious.
And forgive my rudeness. Hows it going? :D
 
VR-6? I haven't ever seen a VR-6 before.. maybe it is 6 wheel drive hehe..

I figured the same thing as the 3000GT Vr-4 is a 6 cyl. TT awd
Still funny to me is our 92 galant vr-4 is a 4 cyl turbo.

I was trying to find out why. We have a guy in the states with an 8th gen and I believe he calls it a VR-6 as well.
 
VR6 is a Volkswagon! Yuk lol

HAHA it reminds me of the Homer mobile from the Simpsons..

The 92 VR4 here is a 4cyl too isn't it? The old school model? Then the next one was a 6cyl, then our generation one was a 6cyl again..


Brad is prob right, the VR-G.. as a VR6 is a 6cyl VW Golf?
 
i think in some countries some 7th & 8th gen galants with 6A series motors (N/A & FWD) are "unofficially" called as VR-6

i think because they have the same interior features as the VR4 but lack the TT & AWD..
 
Wow. those mitsuoka cars are pretty weird. Looks like the Kia Amanti where they are supposed to look like high end luxury vehicles....but in the end its still a kia.
I do have another question Does the 8th Gen VR-4 share all the same parts as a GTO/3000gt. If I could find a chassis of a VR-4 and ship it stateside it would make it all the easier as VR-4 3S' are plentiful here.
