We finally picked up our Golden Retriever puppy yesterday. He is 8 weeks old today and my god his is so adorable!

It's hard when you're training him and you have to be tough with him...it breaks my heart to do it...but I know it'll make him a well behaved dog later on.

Anyway :) Here's the pics!

Very cute Paul! What's his name?

Definitely best to get them under control early - make sure their AYC is working (Active Yap Control)...

Haha, that pic of him hiding between the couches and him with his head on his paws are both absolutely adorable.

Lee, on that note, dogs always oversteer :) They never ever over correct and oversteer the other way though, dunno how they are so good at that!

The retreiver does look very cute, make sure you keep him well under control, they are a handful

Yeah my sis owns two of them and we've "puppy-sat" for them quite a few times since they were quite young so we have a good idea on what works and what doesn't. They can be a handful if you don't jump on top of the bad habits real early like what I'm doing with him now.

This one is pretty damn smart though, this afternoon I've gotten him to sit on command twice...he's learning quite well! Positive reinforcement is fantastic with Goldens as they thrive on affection.

We've called him "Django" (Pronounced Jang-go), after the famous gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt. We're both musicians and he is an incredible one that we both really like...so it was a natural choice and an easy one! :)

Lee I love the AYC comment hahahh that's gold :D

Yeah takumi we have a fair yard which is great for him...he's been trying to eat and dig up so much grass it's not funny...but it is cute haha!!

Your couches are in Trigger Mauve too???

Yeah, love dogs Paul... I own two myself.

Amy (black labrador x spaniel, 11 months old)
Atomil (get this... kelpie/jack russell/staffordshire bt/blue heeler mutt... basically all the farm dogs around Bendigo! 2years old)

You've gotta be tough-love. Hell, I've gotten on all fours and snarled/barked at the dogs with them on their backs. The missus finds it hilariously accurate.

I guess that's the "BuzzPuppy" in me eh?

Hahaha that's the OzVR4 secret, huh? A forum for car enthusiasts who aren't too macho to find a puppy cute as hell!

Maybe we should make that the 'litmus test' for membership? Show them a picture of Django and ask them to write a description ;)

Just make sure you keep any plastic or rubber car parts well out of reach, Paul!!
