hey guys, just a quick question,a mate of mine has an rb 25 r32 but its blown up and hes rebuilding it at godzilla in brizzy to a 600hp rb26,godzilla have told him to get a new ecu so he'll sell me his microtech lt12 cheap.

does anyone have any experience with this product and does anyone know if it will work on our cars,i gather it will have to be fully remapped but any advice will help.

i wasnt exactly planning on a new ecu yet but it would help me later down the track.

any feedback would be much appreciated

Well this is one thing I can give some advice on. My brother has a Microtech ECU for his 12a Turbo, he bought a hand held display/controller for it too. I have to rewire it for him soon as the wiring is a bit messy, instructions are quite good and easy to obtain.

Look on their website it has all the information you could ever want.

My brother has an older one and had the fuel pump relay die but he sent it back to Microtech and they fixed it for him quickly for a small fee.

Others may have experience with other ECU's which may be better or not.

Have a look through the website and see what details you can find out.

I had a Microtech MT-8 on my old corolla ... long time ago now, but they are pretty good ecu's.Most found on Rotorys by the looks.
Haven't seen them on any Mitsubishis though ?

they are pretty common on rotors.. i had a lt 12 in my 33 when it arrived.

i'm not sure on the newer models, but the one i had didnt have closed loop, so it was shocking for fuel economy.

if i were to buy a full replacement ecu, i'd be buying an EMS 6860, great AUSTRALIAN ecu :)

thanks heaps guys but i think this plan is already out the window,my mate is now rebuilding an rb25 so he'll most likely be keeping his ecu,but it doesnt matter too much as my money is going to more important things like all new brakes and maybe some more goodies.

though if he does end up not needing it ill still find the $600 needed for it
