Missing gearbox bung?

Hi,

am I missing a bung from my gearbox? Should I be able to see the clutch cover through that hole (in red) or should there be a black rubber bung like the one on the right?

If I am missing one, any ideas where I could find a replacement or what I could use in place of a proper bung?

Also, can anyone tell me what they have screwed to that broken thread (in yellow) you can see in the centre?

Looking at the diagram in ASA it's another breather. I can't tell what the other bit is

Yes there should be a bung there and I have no idea what they've tried to do on that thread, mine doesn't have anything there, just a hole

Hmmm local wreckers couldn't help me out with anything to fit that hole, maybe I can get away with leaving it as is. Although I'm assuming if I accidentally dropped a bolt in there and drove off, bad things would happen

I'll see if the workshop that worked on it last have it.

measure up the diameter and go to autobarn and get a rubber thingy (forgot what its called) like the ones i used to fill the holes in my boot lid..

I don't have boot where the clutch actuator arm is going into the gearbox and that is much bigger!
