Since I've got it nutted out, I thought it's only fair to share this cool CAPS replacement program.

Abiding by www.dsm-club.org 's request, I'll link you to the page and not directly to the file.

Download the Japanese ASA for our car info.

The files you want to download are the ones under:
"Mitsubishi ASA Japan (MMC ASA)

каталог запчастей MMC ASA для всех моделей Митсубиши японского рынка.

MMC ASA catalog of parts for all models of Mitsubishi Japanese market.
Обновляется через интернет.

Updates via the Internet."

The password for the archives is "dsm-club.org" (without quotations)

Installation:

Once you've downloaded and extracted the two ISO files. Just mount them (with Daemon tools) or burn them with Nero or something similar.

Run disc A and choose "Setup". The program will start to install and you will get this first screen:

asa_i1.gif

Choose "English UK", click OK

Next screen:
asa_i2.gif

Check the "HASP HL" box, make sure nothing else is checked.
Click FINISH

Next screen (after the HASP HL drivers are installed):
asa_i3.gif

Choose "Custom Install"

Next screen:
asa_i4.gif

Choose your hard drive to install to, then check "Single User (Full) - Recommended"
Click NEXT

The program will install.

Once this is installed, DO NOT start the program or it will give you an error message.

You need to crack it.

Browse your ASA Jap Disc A and find the "Crack" folder. Copy the file mmData.dll to this folder:
x:\MMC\ASA\M00\PROG\ (where "x" is the drive you installed to)

Then double click and run the MMC.REG file to update your registry.

The program will now work.

It works practically the same as CAPS and it *should* work with Vista.

Have fun!

Uses exactly the same database and images as CAPS (no surprise there) but yea the interface is MUCH easier to use and browse through now. Gives the rest of you a bit of a chance to find stuff, finally ;)

Oh and I like being able to input part numbers directly, now ;)

Great work finding this Paul - how'd you come across it, anyway?

I also like that it can tell you what other models share the same parts. Good cross referencing tool for local parts!

I was just doing my usual net surfing for VR4 parts and discovered that dsm-club.org site. :D Glad I found it!

Great find Paul!

Mods, maybe we can sticky with this one?

The Jap files are about 200mb each. The file sizes are written next to the files on the web page

Finally one that works on vista, well its installing right now, so far so good.

I wonder if CVR4 has found it yet? Their bandwidth is gonna get sooooo hammered over the next few weeks ;)

After install and patch has been pasted in,
I open the program and it says key expired Enter Key

I've DL those two ISO, now noob question, when you mean mount them? How do you do this?

Download DAEMON Tools program, then open file A first, then File B when it askes for it.
DAEMON Tools is like a virtual CD Rom, so it can open ISO files.

double click the other file in the crack, its a registry file.
Yea I've already tryed that?
Might try re-installing the program again

Emanuel you MAY be having trouble as you've got Vista and the key may not be where that hack expects it to be in your registry... Do you know how to use regedit.exe?
