150rwkw in a FWD car would be freaking impressive.

fwkw looks like a swear word, or at least an acronym for something a bit naughty :)

The GTO definately has a menacing presence on the road, it is quite a beast.

Owned a 1998 for over a year now and love it. The car is fairly heavy as previously mentioned but it handles fairly well, have noticed some understeer from time to time though.

Oh and as previously mentioned, Matt Monnet runs 8's not 9's :002_cool:...

Yeah he's dipped into the 8's, my bad...couldn't find the video ;)

It's funny, I love the 1st gen shape the most. I'd love to have one of them, my VR4 gally and a 6.5 evo in my garage.

I think, one weekend that I'm bored, I'll go take a GTO out for a test drive! I've always wanted to drive one :)

Unless if there is a NSW member here with one who'd be willing to let me take it for a spin :p We can swap for a few mins? haha..

This is pretty much what I drive but minus the 'park bench' combat wing. (I have a hoop wing on my 1998 rather than the 1999 combat wing you speak of)

the 99 front technically can be seen as a fourth gen of front bumpers, looks like a catfish so I decided to keep my 98 style for the moment, looks better imo anyway...

I'm gunna bump this one... I have a 1990 GTO TT. With a front and rear strut brace and lowered it handles awesomely. Almost no understeer unless your really pushing it. Also with the 4WS when cornering at over 60km/h it helps kick the arse out a bit. Peak power could be improved but the torque is awesome. Even with the weight it's still quicker stock than a stock Legnum or Galant. Personally for the looks I think the 1st gen is best. followed by the 99. And I hate that hoop spoiler and the battle wing on the 99 only looks good on the 99.

    Indeed it isn't! It may be a TD03, but it isn't from a VR-4
