still have to make my new down pipes and do the intake side of my pipe work..
then have it dyno'd

in the mean time im going to get a wideband EGO and make sure the AFRs are still safe, and maybe try a little self tuning.

I hope it starts to work out for you Carsten. Cars can be both a dream and a nightmare all rolled into one.

haha so true...

its not to bad driving it now... need to find a nice bit of open road!!

can boost freely thru most of the gears now, mind you ive set the IBC to 10psi
and i do get a small cut when its cold in the morning/night.

need to save a bit of cash now for the bits and pieces i need to get done before any serious tuning happens....

may work on the intake side of things this weekend.

quick change to it today...
pod filter in the box,
and a bit of pipe to get to the maf...
a hole has been sawed below the box (102mm-ish)

just need to get a feed pipe from the bumper to the box.

next mission fit my EVO 5 Style bumper to my car.

well for the last 3 days the car has been driving perfectly,
after putting the pod in the box, and having the striaght bit of pipe before the maf, i have no more boost/fuel cut issues,

so what have we all learned from this??...

the air going to the maf needs to be stright... and pods are bad if just used directly on the maf...

also fitted some ducting up from the front bumper to the under side of the cold air box,

the car can boost upto 15/16 psi before cutting now...
been driving with it set at 14psi with no issues,

goes hard, and no lag either...

next job, new pipe work behind the maf to the turbos, and some new down pipes, 2.5" from each turbo to 3" when joined to match up with the rest of my system

the cold air box cost me $100nz + $35 courier, it was left overs from a legnum vr4 show car that was parted out years ago....

check it out here.... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/228410

it was originally his battery box,
i just modified it to suit my needs,

i have 50mm^2 welding cable running into the fender where the battery was...
then enters the car thru the door rubber bung,
runs under the carpent all the way to the boot.....

did you get your cat removed or is it still in there? just a thought..

nice setup by the way, Im planning on moving my battery to the boot soon.. but im thinking of having 2 small 6v hooked up as 12v.. I think I saw one somewhere.. might be a good idea to put it in the spare wheel's space..

cats long gone, 3" de-cat pipe, and 3" cat-back fujitsubo exhaust system,

im gonna make some down pipes soon, so it will have a full system,
still using the stock down pipes atm,

i decided not to use the wheel well becuse i still want to have a space wheel, just in case.

Christian, it controls which battery gets charged first from the alternator. The car is started from one battery, the other battery powers the stereo and computer.

no using the STR TB and the bored out VR4 Plenum.
the issue i was having (early/low boost/fuel cut) wasnt because of the bigger TB/Plenum
it was caused by the pod filter directly on the MAF,
after changing to the cold airbox setup its back to normal.

definately not running lean... only 280-300km to a full tank of gas (98 octane)

ive bought a new innovate LC1 wideband ego,
its at a mates house, just have to find some time to go pick it up.
then the tuning will begin :p
