do it once do it right.

i want to track it, not so much into the 1/4 mile thing but it will be done at least once,

just wanna whoop a few evos

its still my daily driver... so putting proven good/reliable parts in,
just dont see the point of half arsing it. its only a few $$ more for the real deal,

.

very true.. why buy cheep parts that will last 6 months when you can spend a little more and have it for 2 years and be reliable...
you gotta bust a few v8 commos and fords just to give them the shits..
good luck with it all, keep postin love seein your progress.

well after my run in with the nasty trademe hard pipe, see here

I've now been at it again.... this might take a while as I'm not on holiday from work like when i first started this...

I've cut the trademe P.O.S. into bits, and trying to salvage what i can,
it may not look like much, but its taken me 3-4 hours to get it to this stage.
it would have been much easier to start from scratch...

well had the day off today and after having decided the TM (streetbitz) upper pipe was shit, but i had to use what i had to save money....

my reciepe for a new hotside uppe pipe work is,

2x factory rear turbo pipe's
1x factory turbo joiner,
1x POS 2.5" TM pipe kit,
1x 45degree 3" alloy bend,
various silicone joiners,

cut it all up and use only the flanges and mandrel bends from the factory pipe work, all 2",
cut up the TM POS and re-align and re-design it all,
make it have a 3" outlet after both turbo feeds join,

so now ive ended up with 2" of each turbo for a short distance, all mandrel bends, expanding upto 2.5" and joining and continuing on 3" all the way to the throttal body

ill get it all welded up on monday,
full days work fixing this up!!

Looking terrific! Cant wait to see the end result

You gonna keep the intake to the maf or separate the turbo inlet pipes?

all the intake pipework will get redone in aluminium pipe aswell,

will prob be 4" from the cold airbox spilting to 2.5" to each turbo.

once this lot is sanded back to a smooth finish it will be dropped of for coating,

its gonna get coated with cermakrome
http://procoat.co.nz/cermakrome.htm

bling with a purpose :p

next project i think will be my down pipes as i have nearly all the material i need for them.
