What's wrong with the gold ones? I think they look good.

Don't forgot that spokey wheels are a bi*ch to clean :D

Thanks Lee, i dont mind the ones i have, just that i am keen for a new look and these evo7 rims in black look very nice imo. At least being black they wont look as dirty as fast as my gold ones.

Yeah thats what i reckon. I am assured that the 17x8 +38 is a great fit on a PFL

The first chop reminds me of the whale. Beached as bro!

Kudos for the white/black colour scheme though, always a winner.

Yeah i love that combo, that and white on white. I am keen for these evo rims, even if they are hard to clean.....after all it is the wife's car so its not really my job:ROFLMAO:

Still prefer your gold rims they look hot but if you must get black then powder coat your current rims. Ther are really nice!

Thanks Aamir. I don't mind the gold at all it's just I am keen for a change and would like to have a crack at painting them. Also, the gold is looking a bit faded these days.

The other really dishartening thing I realized today was that my rims are only 18 x 7's +40 when I always thought they were 7.5" :( it is odd the way the specs are written on the rim- on the back of one of the spokes it reads 114 40. then on the inside where the hub goes there is a stamp that just says "1870" so I assume that means 18 x 7 ? There is no other identifying marks.

If after I paint them and for whatever reason they don't look any good I will then just get them powder coated.

Thanks heaps Scottie! Is that just black or a special color? I have no real idea how photoshop works.

I do like the look of it a lot, especially that low. Hmmm, if only i had a forgiving driveway :(

I am self-taught in photoshop so i don't know a whole lot but changing any colour to black/white or vice versa is really tricky.. Basically i just removed all colour saturation from the wheels and them dulled the brightness. The wheels aren't proper black but it makes them easier to see. If they were originally black, the original reflections would be different, it is something that a simple colour change wont fix but with a bit of fooling around you could get the reflections/shadows/contrast right.
