I am located near Greensborough on the North side of Melbourne.

I am having a problem with my legnum stuttering under WOT and not coming onto boost properly.

I need someone to help me conduct a boost leak test, or point me toward a workshop nearby that could help with the issue.

Any help appreciated

I have been having trouble with my 97 PFL Auto Legnum over the last couple of months. Overall:

- Removed factory boost solenoid to remove restrictor. Broke solenoid.
- Ordered second hand boost solenoid from member on here.
- Installed second hand boost solenoid along with new vacuum lines.
- Car hesitates to come onto boost and will not go above 5psi. Stutters on WOT
- Removed second hand boost solenoid altogether and ran vacuum line between actuators and intercooler piping.
- Car still hesitates to come onto boost and will not go above 5psi. Stutters on WOT

The car should be running wastegate pressure, but wont actually come onto boost. (boost gauge)

I have visually checked all of the vacuum lines in the engine bay for damage - nothing so far.

Fuel consumption is higher than normal

I can drive the car around all day off boost without an issue. Runs fine. Blows no smoke etc. But as soon as I ease onto boost, nothing..

All vacuum lines are as per this diagram

Any ideas please?

Tech sport aren't bad but they don't have a good boost leak test with high pressure because they don't have the correct fitting size for vr4s. (Apparently evo specific sizes pipe they do have which seems a bit odd that they're much different).

How old and what type of spark plugs do you have?

Sounds like a leak. Where are you located?

Have you checked all the other boost leak threads on here? I still have a boost leak or something, I'm starting to think it might be my solenoid . Hope you get it fixed.

Hey Dice what size should we get to do our own boost tests?

I use 2.75' and 2.5' blank ends for my boost leak testing.

Installed a new set of spark plug leads and cleaned the coilpacks with contact cleaner, and the car is back to normal.
