Hi all, as the title suggest's i'm new to owning a mitsubishi, and my fiance and i just bhought a legnum for our run about car.
although i am new to VR4 ownership, i am well and truely travelled as far as imports go, i currently own an sr20 powered 180sx with 530 hp in which i compete in various motorsport events here at Bathurst on mount panorama, and around nsw.

we found ourselves a Mint black legnum with 52,000 k's just imported. We scoured the length and breadth of the land searching for a nice stock good nick car to do the daily duties, and this one was by far the pick of the bunch, not a blemish on the interior and well looked after.

i look forward to elarning from your mitsubishi wisdom shall i require any help or advice, cheers !

Welcome.
sounds like you scored,Get some photos up of both cars.

welcome mate. pics/specs of the 180 asap lol

Welcome!
^ What he said.
Also pics of the Legnum :P lots of people will envy your black/manual combo, especially if it's got the Recaro interior.

hey, will get pics up soon, havent taken delivery of the Legnum yet, waiting for the dealer to fit a clutch to it before we get it as it was one of my stipulations of the sale. you will regret asking me questions about the 180, i can go on all day about it and bore the bageezuz out of everyone here ! basic info (i'm a mechanic by trade and did everything myself) it has cp forged pistons, 1mm overbore, h-beam chrome-moly forged conrods, arp main bearing and head studs, cometic 1.3mm steel; head gasket, lightly ported head, rocker stoppers, garrett gt3076 turbo with hks 4 inch intake compressor housing, top mount manifold, turbosmart 38mm external wastegate, i hand made the stainless intake and dump pipes, haltech platinum pro ecu, 780cc side feed injectors. i have just fitted R33 GTST front four pot calipers and in the process of doing the rear, and soon will be an R33 RB25 gearbox conversion ( i keep tearing the teeth off second gear ). its been resprayed in pearl white and has type x tail lights and interior.

I have PROMISED the missus the legnum WILL NOT be modified, lol. although i think i have swayed her into letting me fit td04's when the origional turbo's give up the ghost

also no recaro interior sorry :( and no sunfroof like we wanted, but this was in too good a nick to pass up, we origionally wanted a white one. btw any idea's where i can source a tow bar? i am planning on towing my hillclimb car with it ( fibreglass bodied datsun 1000 on slicks with a ca18). i have found one online in new zealand, but not in aus

I don't think you will come across an off-the-shelf towbar here in Australia - a few people have gone in for group buys of custom jobs and I reckon you'd have to go the same route unless one pops up second-hand from those.

Sounds like a pretty monstrous 180!
You might be waiting a LONG time for the Legnum's stock turbos to die if it's only at 52,000km and you're not modding anything else...grab a boost controller and get boost cut removed from your ECU and then you can speed the process up a bit :D

Hmm I might try and contact the mob in nz and see how much freight will be to aus.

Is black and manual a pretty rare thing in a Legnum ?
The most impressive part of the car was just the condition of the interior, its just like a brand spanka.

Black + manual is a rare combo.

Gets even rarer when you add things like Recaro interior, sunroof, or Galant body.

Some serious work to get a SR to 530HP. As said, show us some pics of this monster.
