Hi guys, any one know how ac conrol is working? I dont have any air coming from face vents, I have on windscreen and foot but no face and when I put setting on face automaticly air coming from foot vents. Any ideas? Everything else looks good, I checked both plugs and still the same and also it happend after I change screen leds from 3014 on 5050... Looks like Ive done something but I have no idea what :/

yo! its possible that one of the gear's deteriorated. seems to be more common with FL..
there was a thread here about it..
if you can get someone to 3D print it, or someone with a cnc lathe

I have a similar problem, I don't get either aircon or heated air even though they did work fine been told to check the channel actuators if these stop working the flaps don't move to direct airflow to where and what you want. Could be the same for you?
@Cameron McPherson Yup, I know where they are and what they look like. Did you need a hand with them?
Any info would be helpful - just so I know what to look for when I pull it apart. I'd be happy to just have the vents set to permanently be on the face. Currently they're permanently on my feet

AH, the flow adjusters or what ever their called. I'm not sure the parts I replaced are the same. The actuators I replaced change the vent flaps that adjust what air flows from what unit either heater or aircon or both. They may be the same I'm not sure. Ones located on the left passenger well, another dead center that you will need to remove the center console to undo one bloody screw O_O and the third is in the drivers well ( can be seen through a web of wires ) Hope this helps
My hot/cold isn't an issue - just the vents that the air actually comes out of.

Newbie on the loose
Got hot / cold issue here , currently set to cold until I get to it , disconnected due to the really annoying clicking
Does anyone know which component controls the vent selection? The Borg's post is helpful but I'd rather not pull out three different components if I can just pull out one.
From what I've read through this and various threads it seems people either have problems with the flaps not changing from Heater to Cold or the flaps not changing from Face/Windscreen/Feet vents etc.
It's unclear if the same box is the cause of both or not.

set it to recirc and disconnect the power to the actuator motor

Newbie on the loose
Had to pull black box apart a few months ago , for the same reason , a broken tooth off one of the cog spindles stopped it from rotating , just be gentle separating the halves .
