Speaking to mates racing at last nights Nitro funny car event they were telling me Calder park raceway will be closing down as of Dec 1. Only 2 more meetings left, street meet this Friday and the Mopar nationals at the end of the month.
Sooo if you Vic drivers want to race at Calder before it closes you'll have to get down there this Friday night.
What will happen to the track after Dec 1 is still unknown. Apparently this may be side affects from a legal battle between Bob and Rodney.
I'm spewin as i wanted to run my Leggie next month, now i either have to get out on Friday or go to Heathcote:(
 
I have a hot lap with Garry Rogers motorsport on Dec 11th at Calder...
 
This was bound to happen. I wouldn't be surprised to see houses going up next year also.

Hehe, I rang calder about the racing and they assured me no no no there is still racing through December, were not closing, its all rumours.... We got an SMS from them today saying: come to the street meet this Friday, could be the last we have????????
From what i read in articles online when Rodney took over the business he was trying to get declarations off Bob so his ex-wife had no say in the t-mart empire. Then Bob created his own new online tyre business called janetyres so Rodney sued him for that, so its now called webtyre.net or something like that. Now Rodney's suing him 'cause Bobs made off with a few cars and other odds and ends that Rod thinks belong to him.
 
I think I've heard this rumour more times than I've heard that Nissan is building an S16 Silvia. I'll believe it when I see it.
