No panels in australia or japan :S

Ok so my car is in to get repaired, i got told that all my panels were sittin ong the doc ready to be shipped 2 weeks ago and that they would be here in 3 weeks, so really my parts should be here in another week....


WRONG

i called them up today, they now tell me that there are absolutely no parts in australia or japan and that they need to be manufactured from scratch, and that they do not know how long it will be...

they tell me it could be 6,7,8,9,10 or more weeks they really do no know :s i was hoping to have her fixed in the next couple of weeks but doesnt look like it is going to be oh well

What parts are you looking for? Not that I can help, but with the string of bad luck OzVR4 members have had lately you might be able to grab something from the scrap heap.

And the best bit is, in NZ the panels are pretty common with shared parts in the GDi, ST-R and VR4 models of the Galants/Legnums.

Actually, when I was in Wellington last April, I saw a HEAP of 8Gs but only ONE Blue Meister VR4 (parked outside Parliament House).

yea i was going to do that, but my panel beater wont let me, they dont want to pull out on the deal so i am going to have to wait, but this will add extra cost and i think they are close to maybe writing it off, im going to all them today and see what they say

Probably because if the panel beaters source the panels then they get to add a tidy markup on top. I'm very surprised that there are no panels in Japan though.
