sorry if this is in the wrong section but hope it helps someone out there

had a legnum in that's tacho didnt work
so had read threw a few posts from people on the site
* sorry for not remembering your names *
in one of the posts it said that the rpm signal pin * connector 3 pin slot 8 *
should have 0.25 v to it . i then went and tested mine and found i had 2.4 - 2.5 v to it . then checked to make sure i was checking the right wires ... i was .
so back to looking at wiring diagrams and thinking =.= ....
on the pg2 of the ecu wiring diagram there is a ignition failure sensor
* ignitor* .and the long and short of it . is that was our problem . replaced that with one off a differant legnum and the tacho worked.... sorry if this doesnt help any one . but if it does then it was worth the pain we went threw * u must take the engine cover off to see it *

nope, not a knock sensor thats located elsewhere further down the block

its the IFS.... ignition failure sensor

and i could have diagnosed that problem in about 30secs,
its semi common issue across the mitsi turbo range

Nope, completely different things. The ignition failure sensor does funny things sometimes.

Hey, this may be what I'm getting with no tachometer readings off the A'pexi RSM or the dash anymore where it used to be an intermittent fault.

Now all i need is the diagram :)
