Opinion pls - Front Bar

i found these guys when i was looking for a replacement, i still prefer the dolphin kit that topstage do and they are well priced for what you get.

also check out VR4Rockets car he has it on in dark blue or black but it looks awesome.

if it was me i wouldnt bother with that bar i personally dont like the shape and i found the other bars they had on offer were either ugly or too over the top with their design.

its all personal thou so its totally up to you but thats my opinion. :-)

Just a heads up, Carmate body kits are rubbish. Be warned.

For the past 6 years, I have not heard anything good about Carmate or Jetspeed body kits.
Talk to anyone at Autosalon about Carmate and Jetspeed body kits and they'll tell you some real life horror stories and more.

For the love of your car, please don't go to Carmate! :banghead:
 
It certainly looks different and will stand out, but as Brock says I reckon it will look a little odd with only the front bar done, that's my opinion though.

Have you had a close look at Trev's front bar? He has the Dolphin Replica by Topstage, and while you can tell it's different, it is much more subtle. Just depends if you like that style though.
 
yea i have to agree that it is quite full on for just the front bar to be done, and also it does look way too much, i think that the stock kit for the vr4's are great, as they are not over the top, yet still have an elegance about them.
 
Also I think that front bar is off a US Galant, meaning you will get the gap between the front lights and the vent.
 
IMHO, if your going to change 1 part of the kit... you need to change everything else too. I personally hate seeing cars with just the front bar changed. Its so obvious as in most cases any replacement kit hangs lower than the stock kit. So you'll have this front bar that hangs lower than the rest of the car.
 
kk sorry guys, lemme explain a little better.
i will be changing the whole thing, but my main focus is on the front bar as that is what i have damaged and to me, its the main focus of the kit.

Guess im one of those werdo's who chooses the kit by the front bar

Jess that bar looks REALLY low. Mine is low enough with the suspension at stock height, I have to be really careful not to scrape on carpark ramps and nasty speed humps. That one looks a good couple of cms lower still which is fine for a track, but if you use the car as a daily drive you won't be able to drive it over speed humps, ramps or steep driveways...
 
Don't like the front bar... I would prefer this one here:

Who makes the EVO X Bar? I really like the look of them, looks like they would offer great air flow to a FMIC and vents for a cold air intake, i might have to get me one with Krudds money.

I'm sorry to say SA....... Its a no go with me. I love the front bar, but it doesn't work that well with the stock skirts (looks much better than most). Once you get the skirts and rear bar to match then I know your car will look absolutely f**king amazing. I love the overall look of the car, but the rest of the car isn't being complimented by the front bar alone.

That's a Trial bumper. Trial sits just below Veilside in the fail stakes...

Just go the stock one. Kits don't usually look good unless you have really aggressive wheel fitment. There's nothing worse than seeing the ends of the bumper/skirts (like on the white car Wes posted).
 
Yeah also didnt realise that on of my mates from Carnal got his body kit for his white magna from Carmate. Was the biggest waste of money. It was absolute crap!

Funny thing is they used his car as an example of the kit on their website without asking him. It's still on there 2
