Mexicans!

As we found out the other night, it's getting pretty freakin' cold, so how's about an indoor event? I'm thinking either restaurant or a feed at someone's house (we are happy to volunteer! Can set the Barbie up in the garage)

any suggestions for venue/alternative ideas?

I know it's the arse-end of the world, but a mate of mine owns a restaurant in frankston (Mambo), the food is half decent and not pricey, plus I'd be able to work something out with him for a group discount, and there's room to move.

I went to Garage Cafe for lunch once and whilst the food was nice, it wasn't as special as I'd expected. There wasn't any real car-related stuff, just decent Indonesian food in, well, a parking garage. Not the most hospitable environment for eating actually.

Of course, living in Frankston myself, I'd vote for that place smitty mentioned

What he said. We were there once for an AussieMagna monthly meet, While the food was OK, You just sat in a big warehouse with car's in it, Like....Major disappointment......was hyped up to be much....better....then what it was. So yeah Won't be going there again.

Well, it's where I first met Ben (bdscott) after he bought the Legnum and left behind the MX5... GarageCafe that is.

Someone's house has the added bonus that every Legnum that rocks up is a potential crash space.

Garage Cafe has ok food, but not so good in winter so screw that... what about the China Bar buffet @ Burwood? All you can eat silliness with loads of car-parking... We'll have to book though.
