I'm in desperate need of replacing both.

Now I've done most of everything else Timing belt, tensioner etc etc

But one thing I've been confused on is plugs. I see everyone getting these NGK BKR7EIX or BKR6EIX My question is should i even bother with the step colder BKR6EIX?

And anyone using FTO leads that are good? or any other suggestions?

Thanks mates.

The colder 7's are good for high boost applications and/or where you intend to mod the car. Given that these plugs last up to 100k, if at any stage you plan on running higher boost or mods, then the 7's might be more appropriate. In other words, there's not much point in getting the 6's, doing some mods 20k down the track and finding you need to upgrade the plugs to the 7's. Getting the manifold off the get to the rear plugs is a labour intensive job. Do it once, do it right.

In terms of the leads, members have had good results with the Ice ignition leads. See here:

Use some rags to plug up ALL the holes. You don't want to lose anything down them intakes. If you do your screwed.

Definitely a good source Bruce, however I think JD (EVR4) may have to look closer to home (Michigan, USA). Just a thought :)
