Problem with speedometer

Hi ppl....

The speedo meter (speed counter KM/h) on my S1 Legnum has stopped working... The trip kilometer counter and the main kilometer counter both also stuck on figures when the meter was last working OK. RPM and all the lighting on the meter cluster work fine... I swapped the meter with another frm my mates car and problem is still there... any assistance in how to rectify this issue greately appreciated..

Perhaps the speed sensor on the car has come loose or disconnected itself somehow?

Hi Ive got the same problem been like that for 4 to 5 months can not find the problem,ive changed the speed sensor the cluster ,so now im off to Melbourne to take car to a speedo specialist so if they fix it ill let you know what it is.

The problem was found to be with wiring for the entertainment system (as mentioned by few people on earlier posts)... I completely disconnected the factory harness and ran fresh wires from the fuse box.... and reset the ECU.... speedo & the trip meter are working now :bigsmile:
