Question about Supers

Whilst eyeballing every nook & cranny I could think of the other day in my Super, I noticed something.

I was comparing it to my white S1 Legnum, & noticed that the rear brakelight that sits at the top of the rear window is in a different housing in the Super when compared to the S1 Leg.
I had a quick glance at Dan's S2 Legnum today, & noticed that his brakelight has the same housing as my Super does.

Which led me to ponder - is there anything else that we know of that the Super has like this ?

I guess I'm in a fortunate position being the owner of 2 Leggys to notice this, but I've always wondered whether the Super was a kind of 'transitional' model between the S1 & S2s..... * crosses fingers hoping for a S2 ECU ! *

I've got no pics at the moment so it's kinda hard to describe without them..

to my knowledge the supers have the s2 ecu for the trans

A lot of late 98 prefacelifts have facelift ecu's, I remember seeing it once on a manual 98 VR-4 as well.

So does that mean the white Leggy will be outputting 260hp due to the S1 ECU, but the Super will have 280hp due to the S2 ECU then ?
