question on a galant vr-4

I'm looking for some discussion on the fuel consumption for a turbo galant.

1. are they as big as a magna?

3. handling? like a magna?

4. at what rpm does boost kicks in?

5. how about spare parts like filters and other similar items used in regular servicing? is it possible to use magna parts? for bigger parts like clutch, do these needs to be sourced in japan?

6. I was reading a discussion in this forum and someone has mentioned series 1 and 2? Is there a website that details the differences between the years of production for a VR-4?

7. anything else you might want to add?

Tread carefully mate, much of this can be found be searching but cos im nice:
1-not quite as big as a magna
3-far superiour to any magna ive been in, although a ralliart is getting a bit close
4-very early, 2-2500
5-pretty easy for regular service parts, our neighbours in NZ can help with most parts also. Note clutch can be a tad expensive to replace.

7-buy one, its good, although like any import a bit more expensive to run than a commo. See the fuel consumption thread in general discussion for figures people are getting. Also what happened to #2?

Opening page says click here first... even if it is regarding a dead (or alive) fish in the left tail light.
The FAQ's are also very useful covering VR4 specs to the subtle differences between the different models that have come out over the years. Very useful IMO if you are looking at which model VR4 you would like to buy.

No worries A lot of people will think it's a Magna at first. It's almost the same weight in a more compact package, but even the AWD Magna is a bit sluggish where you'll find that the 6A13TT engine does wonders to this 8G (8th Generation) platform.
