Hello,

Upgraded to coilovers (somewhat firmer than stock)...now when i drive over speedhumps/bumps the spare jumps up and down. annoying.

Any ideas how to lock it down?

That thread thing with the nut is seized so i can't screw it down any further.

Thx

Ernie

Well, take it out and go from there! soak it over multiple nights in RP7 until it does break. When it finally looses up, take it out, clean the thread up properly with a tap and die set (in both the hole it screws into and the big bolt itself), lube it up again and she should work like new!

The thread thing should be tight, problem solved.

I would get a tap and re-tap your thread so you can screw it down properly.

Or just get some washers till you can find a tap/die. If its a big gap and your low on cash just use a hole saw on some wood - the bit of wood that pops out the hole thing works well as a quiet thick washer.
Then next time its serviced get the mechanic to fix it.
