Rear diff leaking

I have a very slow leak in somewhere my rear diff - over a year, not enough to require a top up or anything. But I think it's about time I got it fixed. Does anyone know if there is a gasket required?

I don't know what part of the diff is leaking. I'm about to get the 100000 km service at Tech/Sport and have the AYC serviced anyway, so I'm hoping they will be able to take care of it.

No there do not appear to be any gaskets so a sealent as used on the engine I expect is needed

Yellow squeeze tube, red stuff, cant remember the name, works awesome.

Where is it leaking from? Is the oil red or yellow/brown?

Yes red sealant works a charm. Used the same for my centre diff case.

I haven't actually bothered to look very closely so I don't know :thumbdown:

Anyway I'm taking it to Tech/Sport next week for the 100000 km service and I'll get them to sort it out while it's there.
