Removing driveway oil stains

not to worry! the leggie isnt dropping anything. But my gf and i have been house sitting at a place with a very clean driveway and a family with no kids so theyre a bit fussy over how the house looks. her pos vectra has gone and dropped oil all over it.

Does anyone have any magic fixes?

So far ive tried:
-scrubbing with hard bristle broom with dishwashing detergent then laundry detergent and water.
-rubbing kitty litter into it over night and then scrubbing (found this way on the net)
-degreaser and scrub with more detergent
-degreaser and high pressure clean

nothing has worked!

Step 3
A method devised by the CSIRO is to first remove any excess oil, then scrub with a wire brush and wipe over with a turpentine soaked rag. Next, mix a paste of 2 parts hydrated lime powder with 1 part turpentine. Spread over stain approx. 5mm deep and 100mm larger than the area. Cover with a plastic sheet and leave overnight. Next day, remove oil stained material and hose clean. Repeat if necessary as oil may rise from deeper down after a few days and reappear on surface.



make the cover as air tight as possible!

give concrete kleen a try, found at your local mitre 10. should work, no one has brought it back and thrown it in my face yet

Yep

Pretty sure thats the only way i'll get the black tyre marks from the locker off my driveway lol

I've tried EVERYTHING.... Except the concrete kleen, i'll give that a go

I find the Supercheap spray cans of degreaser that they are always flogging off work pretty well.

The other thing you could try is caustic soda.

paint is not going to stick to rubber or oily surfaces, so forget that
