Evening fellas,

After searching and reading on club VR-4 that five holes (two at the front, two at the back, one at the middle support) will be left if the factory roof racks are removed, i'm wondering if it would be easy for a smash repairs to weld/cover this up?

Thanks guys :)

yeah it should be easy for them, make sure they do a good job though so your car doesn't get roof dimples in a few years.

That is a very early facelift, 135th to be built

it would be a patch and weld job, and full respray of the roof,
wouldn't be cheap, and not something i would trust any ordinary panel shop to do

no,that isn't it!

It is a Type V and doesn't have the wheel arch extensions. They don't have AYC and have the prefacelift 16x6" wheels with 205 tyres

Certainly right. It is the most basic grade of the facelift Legnums. But at a price i really can't go past for twin turbo performance and AWD. Plus, this will give me a chance to build it up from scratch.
No AYC? No worries. That just means she'll be lighter :ROFLMAO: (so i keep telling myself lol)

Thanks people for your replies.

Joe, so the roof lining has to go as well you think? I would have thought that the racks were pinned into the roof from the top and the lining sits clear under it?

im fairly sure once you remove the roof lineing you will see the five bolts, if they are pinned from the top it makes it even better and less of a pain in the ass.

Dimi,

How did you go removing your roof racks in the end? are they pinned from the top? or from underneath?

Cheers,
Brent
