Thanks for that! Was trawling through the members' section for ClubVR4 but couldn't find it. My search skills (or lack of caffeine) failed me. Cheers gents!

Are the globes for Fogs on pre and post facelift the same? Even though pre is only one light per side and post is 2 lights?

Also, I was thinking about running HID's in my low beam, not sure how well they work being a non parabolic lens etc....

From my knowledge, Phillips Blue Vision globes are LEGAL, Crystal and Diamond vision however are not. Crystal Vision is a more pure white light, what I run and prefer in the R31.

Just realised that you said BLUE VISION 5000k. The globes at 5000k are the Diamond Vision, not legal.

Chromium White and Crystal vision Would be PERFECT ;) (though both not technically legal)

the main spot blub fitment on the facelift is the same as the prefacelift

the outer blub is the same as the front indicator bulb fitment,
the facelift outer spot is only a turn spot,
meaning that it only turns on when you are indicating and on the side you indicate to...

ie...
indicate left, left outer spot comes on,
indicate right, right outer spot comes on,

What is the point of having the second spot light as an indicator?

Sounds like it could be put to better use. anyone tryed rewiring it to the parkers or something.

its not an indicator,

it comes on constantly while incating,

it lights up the side your turning to for better vision

apparently the second spot light for turning gets disconnected/cut during compliance something about too many lights at the front or something??

I think ADRs mention you can only have six mounted forward for road use. So that's two low beams (with parkers mounted inside), two high beams and two fog lights.

Here are the replacment parker bulbs I got. I ordered them in as I found no one stocked them. Only about $11.30.
When on they are white not blue.

funny you say that about them cutting the turning lamps out over there.

when the BA fairmont ghia came out the dumb ass autralians who designed the bloody things put too many lights in the front of them and we had to do a recall on them - changing the wiring loom and making them only come on when the indcaters were on to comply with oz/nz stds.

you would think that a massive company like ford would know there own countrys rules?!?!

Well get them if you want they only cost $11.30. I'll let you know how easy/hard they are to put in without removing anything.
