18x7.5" with 42mm offset, I doubt it! Looking at the design of them, I would say you would need them to be 35mm offset, or get some spacers for them.

everything in the 17x7.5/18x7.5" section will be ok, but the 40's probably wouldn't go over brembo's!

17x8/18x8" - the 33 and 32mm ones would stick out too far

Thanks Brad this will make it a bit easier when looking for the right wheels.

Christian, it is possible that those wheels will fit, the inside edge of the wheel is going to be very close to the rear wheel arch. Unfortunately you can't get a tyre that will match them properly and fit on the car.

225/35 = stretched quite heavily over the wheel
235/35 = rolling radius too large, stock is 631mm, this is 647mm
235/30 = rolling radius too small, 623mm and the sidewalls will be tiny and you will probably destroy the wheels :)

yeah but remember that the centre of the tyre will be out another 3mm from the centre of my tire. And because you don't have wheel arch flares, you are going to run into problems :)

If the Legnum flares are anything like the ones seen on other Mitsubishi models then they are near useless anyway. You can't run a tyre the whole way to the edge of them because of the way they mount. I am very glad my VR4 doesn't have them. Rolling and flaring by a trusted panel beater will be far better for wheel clearance.

yeah they are just clip on's, the metal is still there behind the clip on, so you don't gain anyway actual room, but it can help to keep the car legal.

brad - can you post a pic from the rear of your car showing how far in your rims sit?
and also another one showing the tyre clearance from the guard/flare?

these rims i want are going to sit 1mm in from yours, but the tyre wont be as stretched, so i need to see how much room i have to play with, as they dont come in any other offsets.
