I need to cart some gear over in my Legnum interstate in a month; this includes two or three boxes which aren't gonna fit in the back. Chucking some cheap but sturdy roof rails + a basket on top of the car with some straps is a good option.
I know going for a proper brand like Rhino/Thule is the way to go, but I can see on eBay there are generic rails + baskets available. Has anybody had any experience with installing these on a Legnum (with factory roof rails already in place)? Tips, suggestions on what to buy / look for?
Could not care less about how it looks, because I'm going to use it for only one trip and then remove it to sell the car in January, just as long as it's strong/sturdy enough and leaves the vehicle undamaged.
