G'day all,
Long time lurker and rare poster on OZVR4.
Love struck by the Galants since the 6th Gen back in 1989-3, back then it was called the Eterna in Indonesia. Theres still a big cult following for the Mitsus of that era back in Indo. Owned the 1993 7th Gen HJ Galants for a good five years and must admit they are every reliable and advanced for their age. Said bye bye to the old HJ two months ago and went in search for a VR4.
Found a stock Manual 1996 Trigger Mauve VR4 in NSW, after signing the paperwork turned out it hails from Top Secret Imports.
Mechanically MTA offered a ‘Good’ rating which is a big plus!, paint wise and interior was only given ‘Fair’.
Currently on transport to WA using ACR transport hopefully arriving by mid to late September.
Although 51,000km on the clock I figured a 100,000km service as pointed out on a tread here (which I cant seem to locate at the mo!) seems to be a good idea. No telling if the timing belt, tensioners and water pump are worn.
I hear Phil’s Mechanics seems to know the VR4’s well for us WA patrons, since timing belts are out of my league.
So yeah, hello to y'all here and very excited to feel the VR4ness (when it gets here!)
Cheers,
Andrew
