Hi All, does anyone use one of these things, or know about them ?

http://www.scangauge.com.au/

I've had my legnum for about 2 weeks now, and I would really like to have some extra gauges in the car, but don't want to fork out heaps of cash. I though the scangauge would be a good idea, as it takes info straight from all the factory sensors and is piss easy to install.

That's pretty good. $230 and it's got so many functions.
Will it work with our cars? I'll look into buying one in in a few months if it does.
You can even read boost and your kw power output!

It wont read boost as our cars dont have a manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP sensor). The scangauge is designed for OBDII compliant vehicles, and the boost is a generic deifined value and location IF the vehicle has the ability to read it.

Now the point as to will it work at all? Its unclear as the Mitsubishi's tend to run a "mitsubishi" version of OBDII and its been highlighted that not all OBDII compliant devices will work on our cars... anyone want to pay $240 delivered to find out?

If you check the compatibilty list on the web site it doesn't list our cars as compatible. It only lists Colts, Outlanders and some Tritons.

I emailed the reseller, and he said that he wasn't sure if it'd work with our cars or not.

Anyone live near Lithgow ?

i would say it wont, 99% of normal obdII tools wont work with mitsi's,

Bugger. I really don't want to cough up for defi's :D

We use these units on the new Mitsubishi Ralliart Colts so there is probably a good chance it will work on your cars as well

I just got delivered a set of these http://cgi.ebay.com.au/3-X-Race-Tec...photoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262

Really good quality. I was extremely surprised for the price i paid. You can let them know which 3 gauges you want. I got boost in PSI, oil temp and oil pressure in white LEDs to match the dash. They are perfect to put where the clock goes as they are stepper gauges and they are very shallow, and you only need to run a wire to them, not a hose or anything like that. Plus you just need to run power to one, as they give you a bridging wire that you plug from one gauge to the other so you power them all from the one. Will put up photos of them installed when i get around to it. Their sandwich plate is also very high quality. I cant speak more highly of them.

I don't suppose you have one of the units and a legnum to test with ?

The place that is selling them is in Lithgow apparently. I was just wondering if they would let someone test it before buying it.
