That happened to me on Victoria Rd last year.. water was flowing over the bonnet of my Liberty.. the car was going chugga chugga but charged on through! haha..

It was hectic rain br0.. flooding EVERYWHERE.. got to the Petrol station next to Maccas and KFC on Victoria Rd/Marsden Rd and the water was door high.. there was a falcon in the middle of it flooded up to the doors haha.. all the cars around me were driving half on the median strip half in water to get around it..

Wtf this happened on Victoria Rd last year!? I know exactly where you're talking about. Fark that's scary if you're in your own car man. If i was on the bus with chicks it would've been fun. Like a mini adventure.
But if you're in your own car, it's a nightmare

not to forget.. the starter motor.. hope yours will still be fine..

if not.. luckily it's easily accesible.. a rebuild shouldn't cost that much.. AFAIK the carbon brush some how loses its contact..

Its non urgent though according to my mechanic mate, he said start planning for it as it is starting to grind/squeal a bit, but it should be right for a little longer yet

Can't our engines use a starter from another Mitsu? Just like how we can use alternators from an FTO V6, there should be a local Mitsu that uses the same starter as us, no?

I'm sure I've read than on the forum somewhere therefore it must be true.

i think we can use the FTO starter motor, but getting the starter motor only takes around 1 hour.. they only need to clean the crap out and maybe replace the carbon brush..

should cost half the price of a 2nd hand starter motor..
