is there a way to make the Autobox 2WD?? as in FWD??

reason being I'm setting up on the 6a13tt engines to fit in my FTO and my FTO autobox will not hold the pressure...

I got the engine with a autobox on it and i wonder what can be done??

Kinda Hard to locate a manual box in my area...

If you want to run it only in FWD - then not hard at all. Just dont attach the transfer case and have custom shafts made to run to the RHS of the car.

*Note* This is purely my speculation - might end up with 75% of teh drive to the RHS wheel, I dont know how the guts of the mechanicals would work in this regard

Kinda hard anywhere.....
Why not do a search on the FTO forums as there has been a couple with 6A13 conversions. You will also find a member on here has done one.

been doing that for days.... they all some how had manual or found a manual tranny...

in my area all the galants are automatic... my FTO is 4sp Tip (will break in less than no time) make no sense even trying....

I have heard that some the tranny off the 4G6 engines can work but even those are scarce...

make me wonder how much manual boxes mitsubishi made...

Do it once and do it right... If you want to use a manual don't settle for an auto. Sure, you might be looking for a few months, but it'll be worth it. Would be a shame to spend all that money on doing the conversion and then cheap out on the most important part of the driving experience.

once you've remove the transmission from the motor, it'll be easier for you to remove the transfer case.. also I believe there's a guide in here somewhere..

The front diff is in the transfer case, hence you'll have problems with a 4wd gearbox. I would suggest having a crack at the current auto and seeing how long it lasts (heh, fun times) or going to a manual.

Getting the current box rebuilt with some stronger parts will be cheaper in the interim and like Brad says, see how long it lasts :)

While you are slowly killing it you can look for a manual box :)

there are 2 manual series 1 front cuts at ichiban for under 2k in sydney.
