and some more

The note is some what a higher pitch of throatiness.....at idle then once you open up throttle it becomes more of a scream!

standard ex note

Mate, the standard exhaust note makes barely any noise at all, even when you give the engine a few herbs. It's so quiet and boring it was the very first thing I changed after I bought my VR4, to something with a bit of meat in it's voice, something with a bit of tone.

Though it's hard to tell from your photos, it looks like the exhaust is larger than standard, and if my memory serves me, the standard muffler even had twin, thin pipes out the back of it. Not the one big pipe that yours does.

So while your muffler is not the obvious flashy cannon-style muffler seen on many Hot Fours, I doubt it's a standard Galant VR4 muffler.

Judd......

Hmm, It looks as if you have the stock cat and downpipes, then another cat after the stock one, then a custom mid section. The muffler at the end is stock though.

Looks totally stock to me, I had my whole exhaust off and in pieces and looks the same.
Maybe ur cat is gutted ... the lack of a cat can make a slight difference.
I know Mitchy's compliance cat was empty cause its on my car ;)

What makes you say that Brad? I can see the stock downpipes and the flexi, then what looks to be a cat, but not two in a row? If anything it looks like the stock cat has just been swapped for a different type. The two resonators seem to be present and correct, though the colour of the exhaust, particularly after the cat is odd - they're normally just bare coated steel, rather than being dark.

well it has a definite note to it, so it must be custom to a certain degree.

doesn't seem to hold the car back.
