Sump plug

Hey guys

Had a search of the forums but couldnt find any details on a part number for the oil sump plug for the 6A13TT.

I figured any standard 17mm plug would do, but apparently not.

I'm having trouble with it as the plug corners have been worn down quite badly and the mechanic i went to for my last service didn't replace it after i specifically told him to.

Any ideas?

go to autobarn and ask them for the generic mitsubishi sump plug. fit perfectly for me and is magnetic, so an added bonus :p

you can buy a drill bit that drills into the bolt but goes the other way.. it drills in to the bolt gripping it then unscrews it, it cuts anticlockwise insted of clock wise..
if you can understand what im crappin on about.lol

I once snapped a head bolt that I needed an ezyout to remove - well, TRIED to use an ezyout, but it snapped off in the bolt hole. So I spent $20 on an extremely high-quality drill bit and very carefully and very slowly drilled through the ezyout and then the bolt. Needed to get a helicoil put in to replace the damaged thread but got it running in the end.

There's something to be said for replacing the head bolts every time the head comes off...
