Hey All,

Seems some older Mitsubishis like Pajeros, Lancer etc of same vintage as legnum/Galant were affected by the Takata airbag controversy. Given the Paj was made in Japan at Pajero Manufacturing Co Ltd, and Galant/Legnum (and some Lancers?) was at Okazaki - might be worth checking our wheels and looking at the inflator given our wheel was shared with other vehicles?

My OEM Galant wheel was same as a Challenger. Challenger is a Triton, which again same vintage is part of the recall. I think my Nardi wheel has an Autoliv inflator from memory.

I'm going to take my inflator out tonight and check, and post it here.

Also Mitsubishi Australia Takata FAQ mentions grey imports, and to call the hotline - not sure if anyones given them a call?

Thanks

At least the brand and type of wheel.

Guess would be good to know if any of our passenger or driver's airbags manufactured are takata made given other models are affected.

At least we have definitive knowledge of the situation given we're on our own in terms of manufacturer support.

My passenger side inflator is manufactured by Autoliv.
My OEM Galant wheel is Autoliv. (non-nardi, non-momo)

Just need to check the Nardi I've re-wrapped and swapped over to...

Anyone with a Momo wheel wanna check theirs?

I did check that site, but wanted to physically confirm who made them.

FYI for those that want to check their passenger inflator, it can be checked by flipping down the glovebox and looking at the label. no tools required.
Steering wheel needs a torx bit.

So really just need to know about the Momo wheel.

I have a Momo wheel now fitted to mine (from a Super VR4). I can take a look at mine when I get some time over the weekend.
