there are no 6a13 specific harness im aware of yet...

but you can use those extension/patch cable things,
i think the FTO one is correct (6a12)

other wise it can just be wired into the factory loom
thats what ive done, as i dont intend on pulling it out.

OK, so you are saying that I can buy the unit and wire it in, the only problem would then be taking it out if for some stupid reason I wanted to?

If I put TD04's on it, it would not be advisable to run the car without a tuned ECU, so I would be 98% sure I would sell the car with it in it at that stage anyway.

yes you can buy the unit and wire it directly to the factory loom.

you can run stock ecu with them... just not the best idea...

theres just no point, and if your upgrading injectors/fueling,
it would run like shit on a stock ecu,

it would be best to put it in and leave it in.

other than returning the car to stock (to sell??) or for parting out (lets not even think about that!) there is no reason to remove it.

I am all over it like a fat kid with a cupcake!

I have one, now I need another one! Got this off a 2002 WRX under 20,000kms on it.

I was looking at a TD05xxxx the other day, and it did not look all that large. Are the TD03's THAT small and there is such little room that TD04 is the best choice? Or are the TD04's just a good upgrade that will net you respectable grunt cheaply?

Also, how much boost are stockers good for?

The TD03's are tiny when compared to a TD05. The Td03's in the VR4's do there job well considering there size. Even putting a TD04 in may require some firewall beating. From CVR4 they say a 7g is the biggest to fit in the VR4's.
The Td04's are only about $150-$400 second hand (from a Subaru Forester/WRX). They make a decent difference in power figures, but requires a lot of work to get them in. Hence, why most of us don't consider it. Some installations have been above $3000. Have a look on CVR4 in the search function and you'll get an idea of the work behind a change of turbo.
15PSI is the boost cut set by the std computer, but can be modified with a piggyback. Prob not safe to push pass this for a daily driver or someone not dedicated to servicing the car a lot...
Hope this answered your questions

225kw atw max, with no boost cut,
they can get to 21psi, but cant maintain it, and arnt efficient at that psi,

there tiny, td04s are as big as you will fit staying twin.
with tdo4s you have too loose a rad fan, or find a slim one,
and ease the firewall to allow for engine movement

Surely I am not the only one on here that is going to have TD04's on their car???

Does anyone else have them already that can post up some factual information about changes with first hand experience? Perhaps some good pics of how it all turned out???

I hate being a pioneer with this shit! Tristan....I blame you mate!

Well, I've posted all the info of what's involved in fitting TD04L-13Ts on a Legnum... so you can probbably search through the forums over there and find it...

Sorry for not giving you a detailed guide, :) but if you could be more specific I'll try my best to answer your questions.

How badly did you need to "massage" the firewall?
What size injecotrs did you go with and do you have a part number?
Is there anything you would have done differently?
Can you post up some pics of your turbos / engine bay on this forum?

Thanks in advance.

Last two installs didn't need any "massaging" at all... but to be on the safe side we removed all of that "sound insulation" material from the firewall and wrapped everything (hot side) with "Thermo Cool" (fire proof material)...

I had 530cc SARD (part number 63516) high imp injectors installed. They are taller, so you'll need spacers. (Now - changed them to Sard 800cc ones)

Pipework, downpipes... wouldn't keep anything stock.

Don't have many pictures of my TD04L13T install... will post TD05 pictures later.
