This was with about 50 litres of fuel - a full tank minus 100km of driving, no spare, small battery in the boot, brembos, washer bottle full, evo 9 wheels with 235/45/17 wheels


Galant Auto Type S 1520kg
Galant Auto Type V 1500kg
Galant MT Series 1 AYC 1480kg
Galant MT Type V 1460kg

Legnum Auto Type S 1570kg
Legnum Auto Type V 1550kg
Legnum MT Type S 1530kg

Therefore:
Galant -> Legnum = 50kg
non AYC -> AYC = 20kg
Manual -> Auto = 40kg (but much more in real life)

The Auto has about 5kg more of fluid in it, but the manual weight misses the extra pedal and clutch cylinders. The manual is about 55kg lighter.

Note the 2.4 i4 comes with a 5 speed auto, all others have 4 speeds which is why it is so heavy.

I weighed my seats at the warehouse and they are 12.5kg ea.
My gut makes up for the difference though so my car will weigh the same as with recaro's unless all you vr4 drivers weigh 89kg as well.
Actually how much does the stock exhaust weigh and then a stainless steel with a cat and a muffler weigh as I am sure it at least 10kg lighter.

I don't have the brembo calipers off my car at the moment, and I don't have stock rotors sitting around

I have stock rotors (front & rears) sitting on the shelf down in the shed, I'll weigh them this arvo if I get an opportunity and these gail force winds settle down a bit.

Front Disc: 10.1Kg (only minimal wear, but not measured yet)
Rear Disc: 6.6Kg (again, minimal but un-measured wear)

Front Caliper: 4.7Kg (With pads, not sure of wear, probably average)
Rear Caliper: 2.1Kg (As above)

How specific were people with the weight when registering their cars? I've just been down to Vic Roads and they didn't have a clue of the weight (neither did I) so we took a stab based on a Magna wagon and just put it down as 1500kg.

My rego had to match the weight as stated by the regulatory authority when I got my blue slip (RWC) done.

It came back at like 1650kg!!!! Whos car weighed that much lol, as thats whats on record in NSW for our vehicles!

LOL yea mine says 1,610kg as specified in the compliance evidence package, but I should have got it weighed as the car is closer to 1,540 including driver (and probably lower without the spare wheel, which I don't have). It was the one thing that caught me out during registration (they were going to refuse to register the car because I couldn't provide documentary proof of vehicle weight), so didn't know I had any options at the time. I made them look it up on the DOTARS website just to get the car passed.

Its absolute BS as in NSW I would save over $100 a year on rego being in the lower weight catergory.....

I only have to be under 1500kg, and it'd be damn close!

Its a difference of $16.67 for us *shrugs* so not that bothered. But yea Dawso if I lived over there I'd be going to a weighbridge before I got it licensed...

Took my car to the local weigh bridge today, or rubbish tip, whatever you want to call it.

Wet weight of the car + 3/4 tank of petrol + 75kg driver = 1620kg

Remember mine is the Galant Type-V, which is the lightest of the bunch.
