i wouldnt be modifing/re-designing the plenum without some serious thinking.

reducing the length of the runners will ruin your midrange torque.
that plenum you posted seems to be just a bit of pipe welded up too, it doesnt take into account the reduction in pressure and flow as you reach the rear cylinders, and again can hinder performance for the sake of making it easier to change your plugs.

if you are really keen to do it (i know i would be interested in it, especially if it can be made in a LH/RH throttle body layout where the plenum is seperate from the runners, but uses the same bolt holes to spin it around) it might be best to speak to someone like "plazamaman", or someone who fabricates plenums/intakes.
