Tie rods

Hey guys, you know how world suspension (ebay seller) sells tie rods and other suspension compinents for our cars such as these...
well I was after some tie rods and rack ends and purchased a kit after asking them which one would fit my 01 Legnum and they suggest a certain kit. Well I went to get it fitted today and it would not fit. the end of the rack end was too small and the stock ones are bigger.

Just though I'd give you'll a heads up and was wondering if anyone faced the same problem as I know quite a few members have puchased this kit for their cars.

Why didn't you just go with the kit everyone else has used? Then you wouldn't have had any dramas.

I had zero problems when getting my kit from them.

My kit from them fit perfect too, like Trev said you should of got what everyone else got.

The kit you got were they for an ECLIPSE or TALOON?

Well arent these the guys you'll have used too???
And I emailed them asking if it would fit my car and they said yes so I ordered it..and the title said eclipse/galant so I thought it would be ok..
so which kit should I have got since mine is an 01 model..

99-05 eclipse or something like that from memory. It comes with inner and outer rods and the sway bar linkages. I will have to jump on eBay to get you the link to the correct ones.

I bought a set from a ebay store in Aus and they didnt fit, they were about 90mm to long. Is the link in Aamir's post to the World Suspension place the correct set? Ive got about 5mm of play in mine at the moment so im really keen on getting a new set asap.

This kit is the one you guys need. Fits down right perfect! Should be less than a hunge delivered to your door too.

Apparently World Suspension arent offering international shipping on the kit? I just found out one of mine are shagged today.

well there is always camskill...I bought mine from there..a little more pricy but at least it fit!

Mind you the tie rods isn't the reason I got the kit i needed the lower control arms...

I'm pretty sure plenty of people have bought that kit and it fits fine.

Need help installing these tie rods. anybody done this. any trick to avoid taking the alloy plate that holds the suspension onto the chassis? Scott

Woah, you dont need to go that far.

It really isn't that difficult. You just need a large open ended spanner (not sure of the size but roughly 27mm?) and some patience. Even try a large shifter if the spanner doesn't give you the right angle. I found the mist challenging part getting the nut lock disc folded over and putting the new boot on the rack!

ok. will give it ago. didnt want to take the boot off until i knew how to get the rest off.
