Try before I buy

Ok this is going to seem like a strange request on a forum but it's needed.

I'm hoping to catch up with someone on the forum from SA to have a look at a Legnum. The reason being I'm 6'7 and want to make sure that the car is suited to me before buying one off the shelf. I would obviously want to take it for a test drive to gain an idea of ride quality etc but would not disrespect anyone's property.

I know it's a bit of an ask, but if anyone wouldn't mind catching up with me at some stage so I can have a bit of a look-see and come with me for a drive. Like I said, I know it's a strange request but as fellow importers you would see my justification for the request

Been done many a time, but I suggest just ask Kris if his dad would mind you having a drive. OR if you're down south, someone else may be able to help you out (I cant seeing as my car is on the boat )

wow thats great! I didn't think I'd get many replies but it's fantastic to see that it's been done before.

I've contacted Kris but I think his fathers car is sold now so no luck there.

Hey mate i cant help you with the test drive.
But i'm a bit over 6'2 and i fit easily and drive with the seat forward a few notches, so you'd probably have room.

I had a trial sit in one today and it had a sunroof too which I just clear. The only thing that I would need more convincing of is the leg room with the steering wheel. My knee sits awfully close to the steering wheel with the seat all the way back etc so I'm not sure how I would go with the driving of one but we shall see..

Thats just an excuse to get a momo wheel like Lee has (on the boat at least), and me (but mine is just from an Evo 6. The wheel is a bit smaller, and does make a difference.

I would offer you a look at mine, but going away with work for ANZAC day. If you still need a look late next week, send me a pm. By the way I am Northern Suburbs.

haha like i'd need an excuse to spend money on my wheels! Well actually...with my ladyfriend I probably will need one!!

That would be fantastic if I can have a look sometime next week. I don't want to rush a purchase and am prepared to wait for the right one so late next week should be fine as long as the dream one doesn't pop up in the mean time..

I'm just around Golden Grove and Mawson Lakes most of the time so northern catch up sounds fine to me

and im quite happy to take you for a run in it, but im up in Hahndorf . I wouldnt have you drive it as insurance would be nulled (for one) .. But the offers there.
