Hi all
I'm dExTeR from Victoria, and as of this morning, I'm the new owner of the Project Snooze Galant.
I was a little hesitant to buy an ex magazine car, but after checking it out in the metal, having a real good chat with the owner, and taking her for a spin, I decided that it was a safe buy.
I did as much research as i could on the car online and found it all to be quite positive and I gotta say, I'm super chuft at the purchase.
The car's pretty much the same as what was written in the magazine (if I recall correctly):
* front mount
* 3 inch exhaust from custom dumps
* alloy radiator
* tein coilovers
* Grimmspeed 3 port
* EVO 8 Brembos front and rear
* EVO 9 wheels
* Innovate LC-1
* Reflashed ECU (ECUFlash)
* rebuilt and strengthened auto w/cooler
At this stage I dont want to do anything major and will probably just do some aesthetic things (mainly lip spoiler, different wheels, and a momo wheel steerer).
First thing most likely, will be a tune to make sure it's running at it's best. I'm certain it is, and I'm sure the previous owner kept it this way, but I'd still like to have someone give it the once over. At the moment I'm tossing up between RTR (if they tune) and E-Tuner and would love some feedback on either or another recommendation. I dont want to start a tuner war so maybe a DM would be best for this.
Anyway, that's about it. As with most of the other Vic VR4 owners I'm in the south east, so Im keen for a catch up anytime.
Will most likely start up a thread on the Members Rides and post up the pics there.
really looking forward to being part of the community.
dEx
PS: would love to know any more information about Snooze if you have it. The previous owner purchased it from a Queensland who was the HPI editor, so it hasn't changed hands too many times. He's (previous owner) is a super nice, pretty cluey dude with PULP running through his veins and it looks like the car had been very well looked after.
