Hey ive read other threads cant find anything relating thought it may be a leaking BOV (havent got a boost gauge installed as of yet so dunno if i losing boost) but upon accelerating slowly i can hear the turbos spool but also can hear air being sucked in from somewhere else, it doesnt sound like a turbo spooling its definately a different sorta sucking noise and only does it under load, revving on the spot doesnt cause this sucking noise to occur. It seems to be between 1000-3/3500 rpm. gots me stumped anybody have any ideas??
if you give it stick you cant notice it too much its more so when you drive it nice and slow and steady? seems to be gettin more noticeable i think

check all your clamps on intercooler piping, could be a boost leak? or do you have a pod type filter fitted? could be just induction....

Possible BOV but if running stock boost should be ok. (have a look under bumper make sure it is in once peice, a few ppl have had damaged bov's as they are pretty low.

check all vacum hoses but if its really loud i doubt it...

yeh its not really loud just noticeable it could be stock intercooler piping dont know and all filters are stock as me leggy has had no mods under engine bay yet :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: will try tightening every clamp though

i had a really loud sucking kinda (probably blowing) noise when i had a blocked exhaust (the muffler collapsed..) but i dont think that would be the sound you are hearing.

yeah nah its not that serious dude im thinkin maybe a leaky turbo gasket?

well ive put it down to not being the turbo (cant believe i thought it might have been) or it'd be loud as hell it sounds like it coming from around the top of the motor area near the intake but its still hard to tell

Obvious thing to do would be to inspect all the pipes *again* then try a new BOV as they will be about the only things to cause a noise like that.

yeah cool ill give that a go once the cooler is ready i guess, suppose it would help having a boost gauge too cause it feels less torqier sometimes and if its losing boost then it definately gotta be that
